News Flash:
I'm working on an awesome embroidery design. I'm sooooo excited and can't wait to get it out there, but I have really had to do a lot of work to get this right. When I first started it I thought it would be easy as pie. Nope.
Eva decided to experiment with her cupcake flavors. She made a vanilla cake (from box, just because it was on hand) and split the batter adding almond extract to one jar and lemon to the other. Then to differentiate the two flavors, she color coded them blue and green. The family decided both were excellent substitutes to vanilla.
Tip:
When working with small pieces such as 1" blocks or strips from Lori Holt's Farm Girl Vintage, use Bottom Line thread and size 70 needle. I use Inspira, but they are not sold online so my link is to a set sold through the Missouri Star Quilt Company.
Have fun sewing!!
